152... When the party is in full swing at the Louvre, and that François 1er indulges in the pleasures of his favourite sport, libertinism, and the court learns the unbelievable: Triboulet managed to be hated by the courtiers. Triboulet the fool, the monster dripping with venom and cynicism, has a beautiful daughter that he locks behind the high walls of a shady house in the middle of Paris!
However, the King has managed to enter and to be loved by her. She believes he is a student.
Immediately, the young girl was taken away during the night by a group of courtiers, taken to the palace and offered to the depraved king.
Triboulet found the house empty and goes and looks for her at the Louvre and, after cursing the courtiers, he sees Blanche come out of the King's room. Hurt, suffering the disgrace of his daughter, who is the only thing he loved in this world, Triboulet swears he will take revenge: for this purpose, the King is lured into the house of a hired killer Saltabadil and his sister Maguelonne that he courts...
Jealousy, plots and revenge are part of this drama written in 1832, which was the inspiration for one of the operas the most played in the world: Rigoletto from Verdi.
